Knitting,
Projects
I have been working on several projects, among them is the Spiral Yoke Sweater which I finally finished this past weekend – took me 2 months to knit it. It was fun! My first with no seams.

I have also been working on Mittens in the KAL and have a second pair that I’m making for a LYS Contest. I have them done except for the afterthought thumb.

I am also experimenting on making a Roving Holder. Got the idea from some of the ladies in the Mittens KAL talking about what Kelley described in her Spindle video. I’ll post a pic when I’m done with it.

Meg Swansen’s Spiral Yoke Sweater is coming along:

Working on the Mittens KAL and finished one of the Thumb Gussets:

And last Saturday I went to a new to me LYS in Oak Creek, WI called Just 4 Ewe Yarn & Fiber shop. The ladies there were so very nice and helpful. They had roving that I couldn’t resist buying.

I finished my Fisherman’s Mittens in time for this snow. Here is what they look like… They are really warm too!

I was about 3/4 finished of the second Fisherman’s Mitten (fingerless gloves with a cover over the fingers) with only the finger tips and thumb to finish. That is when I noticed I was doing the right hand version again. I had to rip all of it out down to where the thumb gore starts so I could move it over 16 sts, making it the left hand version. Ugh! So close to being done, now so far away… lol
Once I am done knitting them, I get to felt them to fit. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. They are sooo huge now before felting.
